Contemplative Prayer
I bow, in-between contemplation and prayer, my head lowered in awe, recognition, and admiration for the elements, directions, guardians, guides, angels, ancestors, animal, mineral and elemental. A symbiotic organism. We are one, One is All.
Our Altar is aglow with candles, highlighting stones, feathers, petals and crystals among other representative articles of Creation - celebrating nature and life itself. Each of them singing and dancing with energetic vibrations
There is music inviting us to play, sing and dance with it. I have taken a hot salt bath to cleanse impurities & negative energetic attachments from my Centre.
I immerse myself in the experience completely. I’m absorbing through all the senses. The scent of copal luring me back to the altar.
I surrender the fear-based rationale to a higher power and ask for it to be transmuted into light. Offering and sharing manna, I take a side-step and observe the following:
I consider how I preoccupy myself with figuring out solutions to actual and imagined problems.
Then I contemplate how others have a tougher experience and I should be thankful. This is indoctrinated into us and the idea behind it does not serve a higher purpose.
Wouldn’t it be fairer to admit that that very statement suggests in order to appease and comfort ourselves, we revel to not be the bottom rung? How does that mindset make anything healthier?!
It merely creates guilt, maybe even shame, and a resistance to admit the truth.
Surely, when we consider our own suffering we can become mindful that others suffer too and need not make irrational comparison.
And when we reach that realisation, we must pause.
Take a deep intentional breath, and pray.
Pray for the goodness that resides in every being (ourselves included), to be made apparent and weave magic through the web of connectivity that always exists.
Here I sit-in, beside contemplation, gratitude and promotive intention, guided by Loving Presence as I dance between spheres of existence.
My body is tightened from sitting at the computer most of the day. At intervals I begin stretching and dancing into the aches and pains to free them up, then continue apace with the written word.
I stay with focused & intentional Love, crafting prayers in mind whilst my gaze falls upon the flame.
May All beings find peace. May compassion guide brave hearts to truth. May dignity and integrity stitch us back together. May Loving Presence reach out and bless every soul that has, does, or will exist. May her beacon of Divine Love permeate the darkness and shadows we run from. May her lessons be sprinkled with golden grace.
As Diana reflects Grandfather Sun upon the slumbering heavens, may we raise our gaze with child-like wonder to a galaxy and remember our place in it all.
Let us consider how we can choose to affect the energies of the world around us. We can live in chaos and have peace simultaneously. So I pray that all in existence are made capable of receiving calm and peace amidst the inevitable chaos.
I pray to share Love.
And there I Am.
Ometeotl.
