First and foremost, it is imperative that the sharing of this story, composed of voices that echo a growing need to be heard, is not derived by conceited feminist agenda, but rather it serves an impartial introduction to Energies within and without us that have, and do, impact All our Lives in some way or another. I Pray you are able to stay until the end - it is a loooong one!
I recently sat with a circle of Goddess Sisters and felt compelled to share Insights and Inspirations drawn from the experience: All Spirit Present.
We celebrated Imbolc and Celtic Goddess, Brigid (there are many variations to the spelling of her name). Her story echoes repression, pain and trauma; that of many women, and that of a Divine Feminine Principle throughout history.
Brigid’s ability to empower Healing Elements of fire and water brought many lessons to Light. She was reduced to sacrifice her Life of Service to an over-arching and impulsive Masculine Principle that attempted to corrupt and destroy the qualities she Birthed into Creation.
Brigid’s story is known and shared through many facets of existence. The destabilisation and attempted eradication of Original and Traditional practices of Living through forceful Establishment, acts as an indicator to the current inequalities experienced between Masculine and Feminine Principle energies globally.
For example; - with All due Respect - inside certain religious narrative, deliverance of the word could be viewed as incomplete by way of suppressing an embodiment and power of the Divine Feminine Principle. Its primary focus serves the Divine Masculine Principle: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as postulating actors of its scripture, and thus reduce the Element of Divine Feminine to a supporting understudy role.
Of course both Father and Mother are Equal in supporting roles. The Father carries and delivers the seed of Soul to the seed of Spirit, carried by the Mother. The Mother bears the initial gestational growth, spanning three of four seasons, then Bridges a Portal between Spiritual and Material realms by delivering integrated Offspring to Earth.
In basic formation, Life on earth is not made possible without both Maternal and Paternal energies engaging reproductively to Create of Child! Of course there are other scientific methods to achieve reproduction now, but the principle need for sperm and egg is currently the same.
The Feminine principle of Creation is equally as important as The Masculine principle.
(Note: we shall discuss the relevance of both Divine Masculine and Feminine Principles within us All, later on).
Currently, and historically, we observe and feel impacted reverberations, of a drive and force behind a Masculine principle; one that invokes a violent deconstruction of a Creative, Receptive and Intuitive Feminine principle. Of course, both principles have power to destroy: fire reduces matter to ash, and water has potential to dissolve and drown, but together they can bring a new quality into existence by alchemical, molecular and energetic alteration - steam. Steam has properties that invite Soul and Spirit into Healing. Many wonderful Ancient practices put to use methods of steam as partisan to Healing.
The dawning of Modern Industry has been a force and power that was possibly originated to make expansion to Life easier; more actionably productive, cohesive and fairer. The Element of steam - an energy harnessed by industry - offers power, growth in trade and potential to transport and relocate masses.
However, we All experience the very real imbalance, division and harm that occurs when mass production shares no tantamount models of concern for our Home; Grandmother Earth, and the Life she Nurtures and supports. Instead, this disregard has increased inequality and partiality at a global reach.
Industry has potential to act as a force of destruction and construction. We witness, and are informed by both beneficial and harmful implications of mass industry. There are measures of (rightful) concern infiltrating the formations by which mass Commercialism produces and reduces, constructs and deconstructs.
Employment has powered a contrasting sense of purpose to that which came before it, and is assumed to result in a means to live more comfortably and securely. However, employees have been, and still are, energetically exploited and made expendable for profit. Many have lost their Lives in Service to Industry.
In some parts of the world, there are policies and laws in place that moderate the exploitation of resources (people included), the production and reproduction of material Being and of the pollution and waste left in its wake. In other areas of the globe, there is so little in the way of resources, or management, that these spaces and places are impacted immeasurably by our collective and productive pollution.
Our awareness is served by obtainable information that accounts for the discarded matter we leave behind. When we ‘throw’ something away, it does not just disappear! Reducing impact of industry has been delivered as a responsibility for the masses - the purported end-consumers. We are encouraged to make healthful choices for ourselves, our families, our homes, communities and resources.
Consumption and waste are not the only consequential factors of needs, wants, desires and decisions made for our comfort and/or survival.
There are operations in place that support gross industry: operated and delivered via highly accessible channels of (subliminal and overt) advertising, financial implementations and incentives, media, entertainment, educational, political and social discourse.
Mass commercial industry is reported to profit from global, personal and political derision. It capitalises, monopolises and hoards on a world stage prompted by greed, lust, competition, supplying of arms to sanction war, and thus initiating and perpetuating terror and fear. And if we have no greater choice than to be coerced into supporting them, they continue.
However, whether capitalism and the destructive displacement of Values are fed by politics, or by industry - or indeed, both - that issue is not brought into question here. This level of inequality and division needs addressing first and foremost.
In certain regions of the world, there are political reforms which are informed by us, the people, but response is slow, (possibly) non-prioritised, showing disinterest or disengagement, heavily regulated and budgeted.
The current systems of Mass Industry and Political discourse are secured within corridors of ‘power’ that coerce us through painfully co-dependant ways and states of living.
For example, as fortunate as we are to receive some form of education, the UK public education system during the last 30 years or so, observes a steep decline in investment away from practices such as; home management, cooking, nutrition, financial management, the Arts, Craftsmanship, survival skills, self-care, animal and land care. Each of these Life skills implement and reinforce opportunities for self-sufficiency, help to develop Patience, tenacity, Understanding and Respect for the health and well-Being of ourselves, one another and our surroundings, and support communal living.
It is a prerequisite that families and communities redistribute the short-fall of Life Enhancing practices as a Service to ourselves and the next generations. Of course, this was less complicated before capitalism taxed us of our time in such ways that reduce our collective energy and ability to direct these vital Life skills, but they are primary mechanisms for self-sufficiency all the same, that could harness solutions to unpredictability of Life and engage us as co-operatives.
It bears no coincidence that educational practices now prioritise and invest in more rational, logical and competitive initiatives, such as; technology, law, maths, western conventional medicine, science and sports. These may support motives created for co-dependency on systems designed to capitalise, regulate and control masses in whatever ways supposedly deemed to fit an agenda. They may not. However, they also create opportunity for initiatives to rectify broken systems, if investment is prioritised there.
This restricted investment shifts awareness away from supporting our own Life choices and sense of freedom and what seems to dominate our consciousness are declared and enforced Laws and rules that must be followed and adhered to. Despite upholding regulation to control the level of improper deeds by those determined to oppose at all costs, the inference of penalty and sanction for non-cooperation is very real and squeezes Life-force (and questionably, Human rights) from the Living who can, and do, misinterpret or miscalculate their actions inadvertently, yet are treated with unprecedented unfairness. Mistakes are most often the result of distraction, haste and misunderstanding. To pardon them on these grounds is an Act of Divinity, that punishment does not permit. There seems to be a fine line between deliberate and accidental intention, but is something enforcement of rules overlooks.
There is inequality between features of entertainment deliverance in the following example too. At an extreme, Sports is a highly competitive industrial field that capitalises on innate human attributes for advancement. The exception here being that high regard is held by measure of applied and reinforced Action externalising these attributes of competitiveness between individuals. Competition is not a terrible thing, but if it is not internally informed, as a journey for, and through the self, it can become distorted by compulsive mindsets with ruthless pitches of ‘winning and losing’.
The aggressive level of coercive control in professional sport can be viewed as manipulation of boundaries to the extent of injury trauma, identity crisis, burnout and fatigue - an echo to Capitalist expectations between work and Life balance for some.
Yet, Reverence for overcoming adversity and challenge is something that does, and should be applauded. We can be incredibly adaptable, inspirational creatures with faculties that surpass expectation!
Neither Masculine (considered action), nor Feminine (emotionally receptive) Principle methods for living are constitutionally inferior to the other, but effects are experienced when one is detracted from the other, or one is regarded as superior.
Another programme thought to be of subservience to purported power, is technology. Again, technology is not considered ‘bad’, nor ‘wrong’. It evolves with need: a useful innovative tool for global communication, quantifiable application; offering enhancement and solutions to features of Life - such as travel, commercial and medical applications - expanding modes of Creativity, connection, and supplies an agency to share and distribute information.
Some believe that digital methods of data storage and collection are constructed as ‘surveillance’ - creating a distrust and division between parties that view, use or retrieve this data as a commodity. Others offer Gratitude for technological innovation.
Technology can also be seen to subdue attention from Living itself, and convince of false information, that has potential to feed ego towards greed, fear and terror. There is a great deal of disinformation and misinformation out there and it is for individuals to ascertain what is and isn’t Truth.
Nevertheless, we are granted entertainment, informative documentation and alternative narratives in regard to expressing Life through fascinating and meaningful lenses of Art developed within structures of our technological recreation.
Health is another area demonstrating potential co-dependency of need overshadowed by politics of industry.
Some are afforded heath care systems (both effective and ineffective), and others go without. Some are thankful for Blessings of extended life, health support and crisis care. Others are impoverished and excluded. Traditional and Ancient practices of Intuitive medicine have a great deal to offer, but these services are subjected to political and industrial underwriting and may reduce us to matters of personal affordability and accessibility.
Health is Our first Wealth.
Whatever (or whoever) facilitates in corrupting affordable food with cheap, inflammation-inducing, addictive additives of bulk agency; contaminates our air and water; and develops maladaptive conventional medical drugs, may also rely and bank on the cycle of cause and effect that develop and sustain illness and disease. It remains to be seen, but there is growing awareness that this cyclic set up bares accountability to alleged powers who authorise, profit from and corroborate with their malpractice.
By having the advantage to re-educate our basic terms of Living, or by affording healthier alternatives, we are better equipped and able to control and empower our own health stories. Sorrowfully, this is not the case for everyone.
The germination of physical Health begins in our Sacred Land, Air and Water. Our soil, environment, climate, treatment of, and attitude towards; agriculture, animal care and horticultural practice affect the complete nutritional value of produce - which is paramount to receiving and sharing our Sacred food.
Traditional practices and technology have much to Share with us about how we approach our methods to manufacture produce: with Respect for our Sacred Mother, All the Elements, Spirit, Cosmic and Seasonal cycles.
If we are limited by any means to sources of good nutrition, water, air and light, not only do we suffer and struggle, but our fellow flora, birds, crawlers, critters, water creatures and fauna do too.
If we are verdant in our harvests, may we offer Gratitude for the abundance and divide up our shares. If we are struggling for survival, may we be Graced to receive in this sharing and Offering.
Thankfully, there are a good number of philanthropic, humanitarian and ecological Initiatives and actions currently addressing these inequalities, but a call for more action can be made. It is imperative to take to Intuitive Action and account for each Life depending on our Sacred land, our Blessed water supplies, and Life-sustaining quality of air - to provide and receive in dividends.
Greed may advance as an exacerbated by-product of Industrial Revolution. Greed is a constituent that invests heavily upon fear; with ideological instrumentation that there is not enough in acquisition, or perhaps that our harvests will be erased.
Yet, there is plentiful supply to go around, but this is reduced by frame of mind. Perhaps, greed is born of a scarcity mindset, reminiscent of more fallow seasons, or intrinsically tied to notions of success by gross acquisition, where True Values become displaced.
We are wise to be prepared and store plentiful reserves during a favourable season, but acquisition of material form to compensate for insecurity; to fashion social standing, or idolise status through methods of ostentatious postulation are not necessarily admired, or aspired to in the same ways gone before us - especially given that historical records are now being retold and rewritten exposing Truth to the extent of suffering resulting from one-sided greed.
From the opulent comfort of a secure and warm home, to the threadbare, drafty and exposed shelters around us, at the forefront of our concerns must be more urgent Values of fairness and equality for Humanitarian and Ecological Well-Being.
We have a responsibility to sow dissension against the unethical by-products of mass production; exhaustive exploitation, waste, pollution, disrespectful harvesting practices, contaminated water, deforestation, decline in wildlife species, and the unequal impact upon societies and their environmental, political and socio-economic infrastructures.
We can look to history to avoid potential catastrophe that results in further impacting harm from mass industry, and greedy agendas that circulate it, or we can turn a blind-eye. However, sooner or later, we must face consequences of our deprived vision.
Conservation is an empowering way of Being: a lifelong Service - not a phase, nor trend to follow. It portrays our appreciation and Respect for Material form and Beings that surround us; each and every one has purpose, function and Beautiful qualities abounding them. Generations experiencing the effects of war know all too well the importance of prudence and dear Gratitude for accessibility to produce and products.
There is much to be gained by informing ourselves to take what we need, and need what we take.
If we take good Care of objects we acquire - like extensions of family - they will serve us well. If they no longer serve a purpose, we can utilise Creativity and bring opportunity for them to become fixed, re-honed, re-purposed, or re-homed for another use. We can reduce our wastefulness and pollution by being mindful of our consumption; aware of the greater impact our choices produce.
If we remain diligent in our efforts to deconstruct the imbalance of power, and reduce our complicity within systems that induce greed and harm, we may be awarded for our Faith, Courage and Conviction.
As an example, those fortunate enough to be afforded the luxury of financial flexibility, may apply incentivised and informed decisions and reroute more readily and convenient options of their consumerism towards supporting smaller, artisan and inclusive local operatives of industry - keeping environmental and social impact compressed, and fostering encouragement of potentially more ethical and ecological manufactured produce and service.
Other people are marginalised by means, and are induced to rely upon larger industries through limitations of affordability, accessibility, employment, health needs, lack of information, cultural, religious or personal preference, or by not having access to alternative, or (harrowingly) any supplies.
Following Ancient practices of trade has much to Teach us about how much we feel we want and need materially; what of, and where we place and find True Value; our sharing and offerings; and of the impressionable footprint we leave behind for future generations.
Here, we have seen that industry has perks and precautions. Industry; symbolic of power, inequality, Service and actionable Creativity has many facets of consequence. Traditional principles for Living offer great Insight and assistance to the Inequalities that exist here.
We may become disenfranchised to Gross supply that claims a larger stake and share in our consumerism; one that facilitates harm. If policy and governance does not address these covert and overt operations, we are at least informed to undertones produced and reduced in ramification of our participation, and may choose to use sparingly, or (if possible) find alternatives accordingly.
Our egoistic constructs attach meaning to objects in space that prove to function, Beautify and improve our quality of Life. We have an opening here to Respect and Honour that which we are Given - All is infused with Spirit - or as a basis, to act conservatively when inviting and then removing Matter from our lives.
Furthermore, Our Service principally, must be directed to ourselves, one another, our home: Grandmother Earth and Grandfather Spirit.
As humans, we have industrious nature, enabling adaption to our surroundings. We have shared and continue to share many stories that demonstrate the Will and Courage to overcome adversity and challenge.
We have witnessed, and continue to witness the imbalance of Living in a world administered by a single principle force. It seems crucial that Dualistic principles of Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine are restored as Equals. This re-balancing enables the Divine Child to grow in Service alongside Awareness, Fairness, Peace and Love: Gifts of Divine Creation for ourselves and future generations.
We can All bring Action and Intelligence into Being (Fire of Divine Masculine), through channels of Intuition and Feeling (Water of Divine Feminine) and Co-Create alchemical change in the form of Steam; Merging Old and New ways of Being into Cohesion and offering Service to that which Invigorates, Purifies and Heals our Earth, Air, Water, Fire, Soul and Spirit.
Within, we each hold the principles of Divine Masculine, Divine Feminine and A Divine Child rudimentary to our human nature (mirroring Mother Nature and Father Spirit). If we attend to each principle with Equanimity and Relevance, we permit Equilibrium to unravel itself.
We could, for example, recount experience of the Care we received - from embryonic stage to birth, through formative years and beyond - and engage with core traits, beliefs and challenges surrounding our approach to Material Being.
We may have been Blessed with reproductive offspring, we may have not, but lessons backing our reflections to direct and indirect experiences of Parenthood and Childhood, may enable contemplative Healing and restore equity in regards to Material Being.
The seeds of Creation are planted in every Material form of Life, and these Principles are visible in all forms of Co-Creation (imagined or physical).
How we tend to their growth Teaches us how we arrive in, and are able to view the world.
Is Our World a resource, or are You?
Fundamentally, both are Equal in Value.
I Pray for you to Offer your Service to Co-Creation with Loving consideration and conservation.
If our interior designs are harmonious, external designs are bound to show some resemblance in due course. Nevertheless, change and challenge is very much abounding in Life as destructive fires resist in becoming extinguished. However, the Element of Fire demonstrates qualities that Transform and bring Action to qualities of Intuition and Love we find in the Element of Water.
In the meantime, we are obliged to ask ourselves:
What is the most Valuable Asset apparent in All Life?
What Creative Impulse within me, Inspires to Serve my own, and other Lives for the better?
What Principles of Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine energies can I Offer for Our Greater (R)evolutionary purpose, here between Grandmother Earth and Grandfather Sky?
Blessed Be In Love.
Ometeotl.
